The first price displayed may cover only the flight and a small personal item, while cabin baggage, checked baggage, seat selection and meals can be added separately. The Nile Air-operated Cairo service should be checked according to the conditions shown for that particular itinerary.

Compare the final package rather than the headline fare alone. During school holidays, Eid periods and the busiest weeks at the Red Sea resorts, earlier booking usually provides more suitable departure times and a wider choice of prices.

Booking flights from Egypt

Use the flight booking page, select the Egyptian departure airport and enter the destination and dates. The results may include direct flights and connections in Turkey. Before paying, check the airport code carefully: Cairo International uses CAI, while Sphinx International uses SPX.

Passenger names must match the travel documents. The confirmation sent by email will show the operating carrier, reservation code and individual flight sectors.

Departure airports in Egypt

Alexandria – Borg El Arab Airport

Borg El Arab International Airport (HBE) lies southwest of Alexandria and handles most of the city’s scheduled international traffic. Taxis, transfers and rental cars are the usual ways to reach the terminal. Facilities include food outlets, shops, prayer rooms, banking services and car rental.

Cairo Sphinx International Airport

Sphinx International Airport (SPX) is west of Cairo and is convenient for Giza, the pyramids area and the expanding communities west of the capital. Public transport is more limited than at Cairo International, so many passengers arrange a taxi or transfer in advance. Always check that the booking states SPX rather than CAI.

Cairo International Airport

Cairo International Airport (CAI) is the capital’s largest airport and has several terminals. The Cairo service offered through Pegasus is operated by Nile Air, so the operating carrier and terminal should be checked in the confirmation. Buses, taxis, private transfers and rental cars connect the airport with the city.

Hurghada International Airport

Arrival in Istanbul
